Deaf Women of the Bay Area (DWBA) is an affiliate chapter of Deaf Women United (DWU). The primary purposes of DWU are to promote and educate Deaf women in all walks of life such as Deaf culture, politics, employment and education; and to provide opportunities for social activities and networking. DWU sponsors a national conference every two years, with the intent to focus on current issues and updated information for its participants.

DWBA is sponsoring the Biennial 2015 Deaf Women United Conference at Claremont Hotel in Berkeley, California on July 13-19.
